Our founder and head winemaker, Stephanie, brings more than 26 years of experience in the craft beverage and hospitality industry, with a career rooted in wine production, education, and a passion for sharing the stories behind every bottle. In addition to leading Mythos Cellars’ winemaking, she serves as assistant winemaker at the renowned Horton Vineyards, where she has expanded her expertise while collaborating with respected producers throughout the Monticello AVA, including time working alongside acclaimed sparkling winemaker Claude Thibaut.

Stephanie holds a degree in Oenology from the University of California, Davis, blending technical expertise with a deep appreciation for hospitality, creativity, and wine culture. A passionate world traveler, she draws inspiration from international wine regions, culinary traditions, and global beverage practices, bringing a thoughtful and adventurous perspective to each vintage. Known for her approachable style and commitment to quality, Stephanie continues to contribute to Virginia’s evolving wine industry through a balance of innovation, tradition, and storytelling.
